Run The Point is more than a race (5K, 5 Mile, or the Double Nickle) — it’s a celebration of community parks, healthy living, and the wild beauty of our coastal preserves. This scenic route winds through stunning shoreline trails with unforgettable views of Tampa Bay, the iconic Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and even glimpses toward Egmont Key on a clear day. Along the way, keep your eyes open for Florida wildlife—spoonbills, osprey, and other native birds soar overhead, and if you’re lucky, you may spot a gopher tortoise tucked along the trail.

The Legacy Trail Ultra 60K
The 5th Annual Legacy Trail Ultra is a FREE 60K Ultramarathon, sponsored by the Manasota Track Club, that runs the Legacy trail. This is an out and back course that starts at Payne Park, Sarasota, runs south 18.6 miles before turning around and heading back. There will be no road closings and limited aid stations.
Race start time is 7am. You will have 10 hours to complete the distance.
More information will be available closer to the event date.

The 50th Annual Sandy Claws Beach Run is a longtime tradition in Sarasota's running community. It is ran by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources in partnership with presenting sponsor New Balance University. Set a fast pace across the hard-packed, world-renowned sand of Siesta Beach in the chip-timed 5K, sanctioned by the Manasota Track Club and part of the MTC Race Series, or enjoy a leisurely morning stroll along the shore in the 1-mile fun run.
